The Tudor hall near West Bridgford opens for snowdrops from 25 January to 26 February 2027, 11am to 4pm, closed Saturdays. Prices, cash only, and the way in.

Holme Pierrepont Hall, the Grade I listed Tudor manor three miles from Trent Bridge, opens its house and gardens to the public for just five weeks a year, in the snowdrop season. In 2027 that is Monday 25 January to Friday 26 February, 11am to 4pm, every day except Saturday.

The rest of the year the hall is an exclusive-use wedding and event venue. Its homepage says the house and gardens “will open to the public again in January 2027”, so there is no Christmas opening this winter.

The quick answer

  • Dates: 25 January to 26 February 2027, Sunday to Friday, 11am to 4pm. Closed on Saturdays.
  • Entry: £15 an adult for house and gardens, £7 an adult for gardens only. Children £5 for the house, free for the gardens. Historic Houses members free.
  • Cash only, paid at the front door. There is no online ticketing.

What you see

The hall dates from about 1500 and sits in a 30-acre estate. The winter opening is for “the stunning displays of snowdrops and Spring shrubs across the estate”, with the house open alongside the gardens. (Holme Pierrepont Hall, events)

Bring cash. The hall asks visitors to “pay for entry to the house & gardens at the front door, cash only”.

One caution on those prices. The hall’s events page now carries the heading “House and Garden OPENING TIMES 2027”, but the text beneath it still refers to the February 2026 opening. The prices sit in that older text, so they are last season’s until the hall confirms them. We will check again in January.

Dogs, mud and access

  • Dogs are welcome if they are well behaved and on a lead.
  • Wear boots. The paths are natural earth and grass, and the hall warns they get muddy.
  • Wheelchairs and pushchairs may struggle for the same reason. The hall says access “varies according to the weather” and asks you to contact it first.

Getting there: ignore the sat nav

The hall is off the A6011 Radcliffe Road, just before it meets the A52. Its own directions warn: do not try to come through Radcliffe on Trent along Holme Lane, because there is no access to the hall from that side, even if your sat nav or Google Maps sends you that way.

The hall’s route in:

  1. From the A52, turn onto the A6011 Radcliffe Road by the Gamston Lock pub.
  2. At the second set of traffic lights, turn right, signposted for the National Watersports Centre.
  3. Carry on past the Watersports Centre for about a mile.
  4. Turn left at the red Holme Pierrepont Hall sign and cross the cattle grid.

Next door this winter: Holme Pierrepont Country Park

The hall’s road runs past Holme Pierrepont Country Park, the National Water Sports Centre’s 270 acres of lakes and paths on Adbolton Lane, NG12 2LU. It is open through the winter:

  • Adventure Play Park: free, every day from 8am to 6pm.
  • Car park: 8am to 8pm, charged by number plate through ParkPCM, location code 4455. A year’s parking membership is £65.
  • Sunday 20 December 2026: the Nottingham Holme Run, a 5km, 10km and half marathon road race around the Regatta Lake, run by Active Training World. Spectators are allowed; expect a busy car park that morning.

More this winter

Still to confirm

  • 2027 prices and payment: the hall’s page still carries the 2026 wording; we will recheck in early January 2027.
  • Any Christmas opening: none planned, per the hall’s homepage.
